STEVE GROVES ON PROFESSIONAL MASTERCHEF

Steve Groves, former Head Chef at Branksome Beach Restaurant, drew high praise from one of the world’s greatest chefs, Michel Roux Jr, during the opening heat the 2009 Professional Masterchef competition currently showing on BBC2. Not only did Steve’s cooking impress Michel and presenter Greg Wallace with it’s skill and flair, they also recognised his all round ability and voted him the easy winner of the round. In the quarter final, challenged with cooking for the nation’s harshest food critics, Steve again excelled, winning through to the semi final with a menu that included the Branksome Beach signature dessert, the deconstructed cheesecake. Commenting that Steve was “in a different class” in his semi-final, Steve has now made the final!
